Parker Bees Face Mask
Behind the Mask –
Designed by Karen Lorena Parker:
Karen Lorena Parker is a Vancouver based artist who spearheaded the Masked Heroes initiative: “In my studio, I find art brings a calm for people to share their story, I felt the importance of contributing care during the pandemic. I wanted to use my skills to amplify the voices of the community affected by cancer.
Cancer affects us all and it was my hope this project could open up more conversation. Unsung stories could be shared through this visual platform. A moment to listen to those living through covid-19 through their beautiful art.
Parker Bees: I loved the thought of adults with cute bees to bring a smile to others. A whimsical moment to remind us of our kind, calm, caring hardworking society.”
The mask is a medium and fits an adult woman perfectly. The craftsmanship is great and the fabric is breathable. I love mine!
The mask is well made, roomy, and the straps are easily adjusted. It is pretty, and it is soft and comfortable. My only problem, not an issue with the mask itself, is that any mask fogs up my eyeglasses, any suggestions?
Hello Madeleine, Thank you for your review. I understand your concern. We are doing R&D to add a metal nose strip; currently in the final stage. We hope to launch the new version of the facemask sometime in November. Cheers, Topwraps.shop
Very happy with my purchase. Purchased the smallest one for my kid and she loved it too.
The instructions say to wash the mask before wearing it. I washed it in gentle cycle and 1/3 of the front turned a light blue colour. It's still wearable but the front looks like I have a stain on it.
The fabric is nice and I appreciate the adjustable ear loops… as well, the ear loops are comfortably soft. I find that the mask is a bit too full for me in the front and with the darts above and below in the middle the mask doesn’t have a fit that I love.
